Lower mountain passes with access our dedicated learner facility, Happy Valley, and the Rangatira Chairlift for progression.
Happy Valley is the perfect spot for beginners, offering a welcoming space for those just starting out on their skiing or snowboarding journey.
In Winter, Whakapapa has a dedicated sledding area, with a gentle slope and up to three lanes, and a magic carpet that transports you back to the top.
Sledding sessions are 1 hour long, and give you access to a sled and the sledding area to slide down and come back up as many times as you'd like within your session. There are limited spots available, so it is always recommended to book.
2025 Sledding Passes will go on sale closer to the start of our 2025 Winter Season (June - October 2025).
